You're the one at the table
This week, Aimee's Terms changed seats.
Until now the game was told from Aimee's side: an exorcist, a partner with rot-bone poison, and a cure that costs 350 a night. It worked, but something was missing. The most uncomfortable seat in this story isn't hers. It's the man across the table, the one who keeps saying yes.
So now you play Kaelan. You can't make Aimee do anything. She keeps a list of what she won't do, and she is the only one who can strike a line out. What you control is what's on the table: the money, the silence, the timing.
That list is the heart of the game. It has nineteen lines, and each line has six stages, starting from things like My coat stays buttoned to the top.
Every line opens with one of three keys: Pressure, Trust, or Heat. Most of them lock something else when they open.
She is always clear-headed. She is never forced.
Those are the two rules the story never breaks.
Done this week
- Day 1 is built and in playtesting.
- Day 2's script is approved. It's the day she writes her first terms for you: you don't touch her, you only meet where people can see, and nobody hears why she's there. When you lend her the money, you ask for dinner once a week instead of interest.
That's the rate.
Then it goes in the book.
- The sixty-day outline is finished.
Next week
- Day 3 from Kaelan's side: a card game, and the first night he leaves something out of his report.
- Building her notebook into the game.
